Over 10 years ago, our team at Church Motion Graphics introduced the big idea of a subscription that provided a new Monthly Pack every 30 days that included everything you needed for your church’s screens to look great—Motion Backgrounds, Motion Titles, Countdown Timers, and more.

Who Is Visual Revival?

In 2019, two friends who had been working together at Saddleback Church in Southern California decided to turn their passion for designing high-quality media for churches into what would become known as Visual Revival. They took the experience they had gained from creating content for hundreds of live worship services and started this new company so that they could help make the worship experiences at churches everywhere emotionally impactful and spiritually meaningful.

Visual Revival has four core values for their backgrounds that they pride themselves on: move audiences, be bold, quality matters, and empower people. All of their visuals are made with these principles in mind to help you make an impact at your church. When our team at Church Motion Graphics first discovered Visual Revival, they caught our attention because their nature visuals were extremely impressive, well-made, and spot-on for the kind of backgrounds we know churches love. These guys seemed different, and we liked that! 

After bringing our two teams together to chat, we realized that we had aligning vision and passion for serving the Church. We’ve heard from many of our users that it can sometimes be difficult to find the perfect motion background to fit with a song. More than anything else, this often comes down to selecting the perfect speed of a background to align with the tempo of an arrangement. For a motion to look its best in your service, it must match the pace of the moment around it. So, we developed a way to help with this right in the Media Browser.

Search By Song Name, Artist, or CCLI #

With TempoMatch, we’ve made it easy to find the perfect motion to fit each song in your set list. This new feature gives you the option to do a search for the specific song that you’re trying to match. Simply enter any worship song by typing the song name, artist name, or CCLI number. You’re quickly presented with every motion in the Media Browser that matches that speed. Our team has worked hard to fill our database with a large library of the most popular worship songs. We have backgrounds that will look great no matter what you’re singing!

Sort By The Filters Panel

Or, you can simply choose one of the five tempo indicators from the filters panel. From the motion backgrounds gallery, click the filters button to reveal the filters panel. Choose one of the tempo speeds to narrow down your search. Our motion background library is split up into five categories that are sure to fit your songs: subtle, slow, medium, fast, and hyper.

Additionally, from the Motion Graphics page, or any motion pack age, you can click on one of the tempo buttons at the top of the section.

Alternatively, you can search of the tempo speed names in the search bar: subtle, slow, medium, fast, and hyper. This is great way to access an entire collection of motions within a certain tempo from any page in the Media Browser.

It’s the fastest, most accurate, and smartest search tool that we’ve ever seen utilized in a church media gallery. Additionally, you can now see what others like you are looking for when you are.

Our subscribers have been asking for more ways to explore content in our growing library of visuals. We heard you loud and clear. Now, every CMG media gallery (motions, templates, social, etc.) can be filtered to narrow down the search to find your next great look. Here are all the available filters depending on the gallery type you are browsing: 8 Color Filters, 5 Tempo Filters, Category Filters, Minimum Resolution Filter, Minimum Playback Duration Filter, and Must Include Music Filter.

1-Click Downloads & Bookmarks

CMG Subscribers will enjoy using these two new quick action icons that are found throughout the entire Media Browser experience. The first icon is for quickly bookmarking your favorite looks. When activated, the icon will fill with blue to indicate the item has been bookmarked, and it will now be accessible on your bookmarks page. The neatly organized bookmarks page can be accessed via the Browse Media button. The second icon is for rapid downloading. Click this, and you’ll instantly start downloading the selected item. Your image resolution, file format, and download location settings will mirror those of your previous pop-up modal download, so make sure to double-check those settings before using this handy feature.

TempoMatch At Your Fingertips

TempoMatch is the best way to find the perfect background to match a song. Simply type any worship song title or CCLI number in the new CMG Media Browser search bar, and you’ll discover a gallery of motion backgrounds that match the tempo of that song. It’s super efficient and unbelievably clever, just like you. Additionally, to quickly filter your motion background by tempo speed, click the filter button on the right-hand side of the search bar and select one of the five tempo speeds. Instantly, the gallery of motion backgrounds will be filtered so you can download what you need.

New Fonts & Mobile Support For CMG Editor

You spoke and we listened. We’ve made our popular in-browser graphic design tool, CMG Editor, even better by adding 15 new fonts. Plus, it now has a new user interface that brings improved functionally on both desktop and mobile. That’s right – mobile! Go try them out for yourself by choosing any still background and clicking the “Open In CMG Editor” link.
